Project Management for Analytics
Project management of analytics project can vary significantly depending on factors including the size of a project, the culture of an organisation, and of course the type of analytics product being delivered.
Whilst I’m an advocate of using Agile principles where possible, I believe different projects have different requirements and there is certainly a time and a place for running projects using both Prince 2 or Agile methodologies (or a hybrid approach combining both and tailored to the project in question).
Below I have summarised what I believe is a very effective way of managing analytics and data science projects. It ensures a focus on delivering solutions with commercial impact (through prioritisation and measurement), and delivering early value through an iterative approach.
